# **Funding Details**
Strategix Training Group is an approved supplier for courses offered on the [Subsidised Training List](https://providers.skills.sa.gov.au/subsidised-training-list), and can access funding to assist students in completing courses. The funding is offered by the South Australian Government.
In this document, you will be provided with all relevant details and information about the course/s and the funding that may apply to those who are eligible and approved. You will receive both a tentative enrolment email and a confirmation of enrolment email that will provide you with the specific times, locations and requirements for your enrolment.

### **Training Priority Projects: Fee Free TAFE - Tranche 2 First Nations**
You may be eligible for Fee Free training if you meet all of the following criteria:
- Identify as a First Nations person
- Must be a new student to the course (does not need to be new to the training provider)
- Reside or work in South Australia
and
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
- Be a permanent Australian residents; or
- Hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency; or
- Hold a humanitarian temporary visa of a class specified by the Minister from time to time; and
- An eligible visa holder (See [Eligible visas](https://mytraining.skills.sa.gov.au/training/thinking-about-vet/subsidised-training)).
- Be aged 16 years or over, not enrolled in school.
- **Must be enrolled and have training accounts created before 31st March 2025** in any of the qualifications below:
- CHC40421 - Certificate IV in Youth Work
- CHC33021 - Certificate lll in Individual Support
- CHC30121 Certificate lll in Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHCSS00131 - Individual Support - Disability Skill Set
- FBP30121 - Certificate lll in Food Processing
- CHC32015 - Certificate lll in Community Services

# **Course Details**
This information is provided to support prospective students in making an informed decision about their course of enrolment and to ensure they understand what is required to successfully complete the course and transition into employment. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review these details and consider their ability to meet the training, placement, and workplace requirements prior to enrolment.

| **Industry Requirements** | Students are required to obtain the following clearances to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry:
- Police check (site specific)
- First Aid Certificate
- DCSI background check for Working with Children
- RRHAN-EC Training |
| **Employer Expectations** | May include but is not limited to:
- Interact positively and respectfully with children
- Communicate effectively with families and team members
- Support routines and follow centre policies
- Maintain hygiene and safety in play areas |
| **Physical Requirements** | Workers in this industry are often required to do the following tasks:
- Walking and moving between community locations or homes
- Supporting clients with mobility or access needs
- Lifting or transporting equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, activity kits)
- Standing during group facilitation or outreach work
- Repetitive documentation or computer tasks (e.g., case notes) |

- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Work efficiently in repetitive tasks
- Be dependable with time and attendance
- Accept and apply feedback quickly |
| **Physical Requirements** | A role working in this industry may include the following physical activities:
- Standing for long periods on production lines
- Repetitive manual handling and machine operation
- Lifting bags or containers of ingredients or products
- Operating and cleaning food processing equipment
- Working in cold, hot, or noisy environments |

| **Industry Requirements** | To complete this course, students will require a nationally coordinated **police check**. Students are not required to pay the fee for the check. Other requirements to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry may include:
- Flu Vaccine
- NDIS Screening check
- DCSI background check |
| **Employer Expectations** | May include but is not limited to:
- Show empathy and patience with clients
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Follow care plans and safety procedures
- Be reliable and punctual for shifts
- Display non-judgmental, inclusive behaviour
- Maintain accurate records and case notes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
- Show initiative and problem-solving in support roles |
| **Physical Requirements** | Working in the individual support industry, requires participants to be able to perform the following physical activities:
- lift and carry heavy weight
- Push and pull trolleys
- Squat and kneel
- Repetitive movements
- Long hours of standing and walking
Workers in the Community Services industry are often required to do the following tasks:
- Walking and moving between community locations or homes
- Supporting clients with mobility or access needs
- Lifting or transporting equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, activity kits)
- Standing during group facilitation or outreach work
- Repetitive documentation or computer tasks (e.g., case notes) |

| **Physical Requirements** | Workers within the supply chain often perform these types of physical activities:
- Lifting, carrying, and stacking stock and packages
- Operating manual or powered handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks)
Standing and walking on concrete warehouse floors
- Performing repetitive tasks such as packing or scanning
- Working in varied environments (hot, cold, outdoor) |

- Display non-judgmental, inclusive behaviour
- Maintain accurate records and case notes
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
- Show initiative and problem-solving in support roles |
| **Physical Requirements** | Workers in this industry are often required to do the following tasks:

| **Physical Requirements** | Youth workers often have to carry out physical tasks including:
- Supervising and participating in active youth engagement activities
- Standing and walking during outreach and events
- Driving or accompanying youth during transport
- Setting up physical spaces for programs or workshops
- Managing behavioural incidents, which may involve physical presence or intervention |

To complete this course online, students will also need to have suitable access to a computer and internet. Students will also need access to a camera and the ability to record or participate in online skills observation tasks. |

- Moving between multiple service locations
- Carrying files, kits, or promotional materials for community outreach
